thunder timbs are not as popular as regular timbales. i've seen timbaleros use the 16"or the 15" with a 14" timbale, for that deep sound, but haven't really seen a actual set except for tito. i guess if you are not happy with them send them back if she's willing to pay for the return, but as to when you find the thunders, who knows. not a bad price for the timbales and i'm guessing they are matadors by looking at the heads? best of luck on your decision.
