For me it has to be "moonflower". That's the first time I heard the band (the single "She's not there") I was 15 at the time and very much into jazz. As a drummer I could not believe how good these rhythms were. And of course I'd never ever heard a guitar played like that before. I was instantly hooked - saw the band in Manchester on the "inner secrets" tour and bought evey album released.
I had a 6 hr drive to a gig on sat and listened to "Moonflower" "Borboleta" "WElcome" and "Zebop".
Have to say the gtr tone on Moonflower and sheer energy of the band make that era my favourite. I recently contacted Graham Lear by e-mail and he was very gracious and humble in his reply. My favourite Santana drummer by far.
