It's not the band members fault! I think you'd have to go beyond these great musicians and ask Carlos and "those" who "advise" him about the safe thing to do. On the contrary as much as I really like the 72' thru '76 stuff, I really believe this is the best sounding group of musicians that have been in Santana. Look or Hear what happened when Raul was replaced by Bobby Allende, they sounded really off, no offense to Mr. Allende, but that was like replacing a superstar with a single A player. Remember these guys are only playing what they are told to play,and if they didn't they would join that long list of "Past Players".
