This is theme that we discussed here a while back. Professor Jose Sierra shared some insightful facts about these song. Then in his interview with Michael Schrieve he asked about the drum intro to "Toussaint L'Overture." Which is another Pello "El Afrokan's" contribution to Santana's repertoire. That to the person at the other cafe for posting Pello's version of "Maria Caracoles."
I asked both Santana current horn players why they are not playing this song. The current line up is perfect for this tune. Both responded that it was rehearsed but has been not played in front of an audience yet.
The intro to Karl's and Raul's jam sounds very familiar
