Andy is by all means a great singer. I feel that he is looking to do other things to highlight his own career. He gave an interview recently where he said these exact words. I know that he really wants to work with my friend David De La Garza. He knows that Santana is a great band and he appreciates all that Carlos has done for him, but let's face it...Carlos will be looking to call it quits more than likely as soon as his Vegas shows come to an end. Personally I feel that Carlos deserves to retire and enjoy life without all of the hustle and bustle that goes along with touring and such. Andy is just looking to do what any aspiring musician would do which is promote his career so that the public can get to know "Andy Vargas" and not just "the lead singer for Santana." I wish them both the best. I know that here in Houston many people know exactly who Andy Vargas is. Andy is definitely a sweetheart and will undoubtedly go on to bigger and better things as his career continues.
