I couldn't agree with you more. This era produced some of the best Santana shows I've witnessed. My favorites are with Alex and Greg Walker on vocals.
Nothing before or since could ever impress me more than Graham Lear, Armando, Orestes and Raul producing that earth shaking locomotive pounding wall of sound that we were so fortunate to experience.
