Hi everyone-for anyone close to the Bay Area in California, it's my pleasure to announce that the Release Party for my CD entitled "From Where I Stand" will be at Yoshi's Jazz Club in Oakland this coming Monday, September 28th! The show starts at 8:00- it's one 90 minute show that will be over at 9:30 (good for those of us that have to work the next day). I will have an outstanding group of musicians with me who are not only some the best artists in the bay area, but among the best anywhere-these are real all-stars. They are-
Cedricke Dennis on Guitar (Ledici, Braxton Brothers)
John Seppala on Keyboards (Lenny Williams, Dave Ellis),
Marc van Wageningen on Bass ( Sheila E, Tower Of Power)
Deszon Clairborne on Drums (Charles Brown, Ornette Coleman)
Josh Jones on Percussion and Drums (Don Cherry, Steve Coleman)
There will be some very special guests as well- Karney on Guitar, Rocker-T, Regina Espinoza, Femi Andrades, and Kenny Byars on Vocals, and hopefully a few surprises.
Tickets are $16 in advance and on-line, and $20 at the door on the day of the show. I want to thank all of you for your continued support of Santana, the musicians who play in the band, and for supporting live music! (I will post some video of the show on YouTube after the show)
