I see that sometimes this site is used by others to showcase their own "Santana-related" stuff or their own bands, so here's something I thought I'd share with you.
As I've mentioned before, I am primarily a keyboardist (or once was I should say), but what got me into playing music -- especially guitar -- as a kid was Santana.
I bought two Les Pauls last year after coveting one badly for the past 30 years. The last time I had a Les Paul was when I was in my early teens (I'm now 50) --- a 1973 Gold top Les Paul Standard which was stolen from a gig long ago.
Anyway, I don't play or have been in a band for YEARS (except for backing up Jackson Browne a couple of years ago), but here's my rendition of one of my favorite Santana solos. This song is one of just a scant few that has inspired me in such a profound way, that it is hard to describe.
So with that, here is my rendition of "Flame Sky":
