It's been awhile since I've posted here at the cafe. I've been really busy with everything going on here in Houston. This past Tuesday was Andy Vargas' birthday and man did we have a blast! Andy has been in Houston since last Wednesday and spent the whole week here with my friend David Delagarza, who by the way just got nominated for his 5th Grammy. He plays keys for La Mafia. Anyway, people it's been one long and crazy week! I have tons of pics that I've posted to myspace "Santana Sanctuary" and I recently created a Facebook account "Lisa Delgado" which has the same pics published in it. The night of Andy's b-day was awesome in terms of talent! So much talent that night under one roof, it was awesome! As it turns out I'm headed to San Francisco on October 24 to see the 40th anniversay show of El Chicano with The Lava Band and Los Cochinos at the Avalon. Then in November it's off to Vegas to see my man Carlos. If everything turns out as planned (which I really hope it does!) Andy is going to introduce me to Carlos and I just can't wait. I'm so excited Santanamigos! I'll be on pins and needles until that day comes. I'm so excited that just the other day while talking about it I began to cry because I was just that happy! as crazy as it sounds! LOL but i'm serious Santanamigos, I'm sure all of you can relate to the fact that Carlos' music reaches so deep into your soul its unreal. Anyway, I'm going to do my best to not tear up when that time comes, but somehow I just know I will. I'll most defintely take lots and lots of pics because that will be my dream come true!!! I have met Carlos twice before but never in a personal setting like I will with Andy. God, I thank Andy so much for being such a sweetheart every single time I see him. He's the best! So if anyone wants to see my pics just go to myspace or facebook, I personally like myspace better even after trying facebook. I know lots of my Santanamigos will disagree with me but that's just how I feel. I love you all and look forward to sharing more pics as my travels continue. take care and as always...
