Re: Santana in London July 3rd 2016
Thanks for posting this - we've just completed our 600 mile return trip from the show. Enjoyed the opening & later stages ... but... and sadly - we are both thinking that it was very close to being basically the same gig as the last few trips, and at ever spiralling prices, then our time following the band (36 years & 40 odd gigs) may be coming to an end. With no reference to the sad loss of Raul Rekow - (such an intrinsic member of the band for 35 years), we were saddened and disappointed again. We'll see how we feel about things as the weeks pass. I contrast this with going to see Yes earlier this year. They honoured two band members who had died since their last tour with a moving film & music just before they took to the stage. They also played two albums - start to finish. I dream of the day when Carlos would try this. There is a massive & excellent back catalogue to choose from - but I won't be holding my breath
