But what does he do instead
with his financial conquest ? He puts out more commercial mediocre pop crap to make MORE $$$$ ! Is getting rich his true calling for the short time he is alive on earth ? Would he like this stale pop he does now if it didn't generate any more $$ for him than the Welcome or Borbelata did ? Somehow.....I don't think he would.
How much $$ is enough now, when it costs you the last 20 years of your life ? Maybe going into the studio and doing this stale flop for consecutive years rots your mind into believing that your creative powers are evolving. Maybe he's got too many "yes" people worshiping him, no matter what he does. Maybe the riches that this pop pablum generates becomes like weeds in a garden that prevents good seeds from maturing to harvest. Hypothetical questions that go through my mind when I hear something he's done lately.
Anyway....it's sad what is being sold to the uncaring general public and dropped under the table to long time serious fans....just like unwanted table scraps going to the faithful dog.
Sincerely though.....Thanks Carlos, for the great music and concerts you used to do years ago.
