Without being too theoretical here, Hamlets are really not in the same field as Cuban cigars or even other hand rolled cigars. Hamlets are machine rolled and are manufactured by a completely different process and do not use the best tobacco possible. This is of course also reflected in the price. If you really want to experience good cigars, perhaps you can look at the list I've suggested to Lynne over a period. If possible, have a nice meal, a good bottle of red wine and then maybe a liquer and coffee with your cigar. Savour the whole experience. I can guarantee it will be different to that you experienced with a Hamlet cigar.
