Coke Pins from 1988 Seoul Olympics - 162 pin pre-release set - Legit, and value?

I ran across this "rare" set of 162 Coca-Cola pins (featuring the Seoul 1988 Olympic mascot and the flag of each nation participating in the event) in ebay. The set was auctioned off at a final bid of $500.00. I happen to own the same identical set. To all you collectors out there, I would like to ask you, first of all, if this pin set is legit, and what would you consider a fair value for such an item? See link below to view the ebay listing, with photos of the set. The set was pre-release, and closed design, with the seller contending that this makes the set even more rare.
