hello...i too am looking to get away on another u.s. road trip.i have been doing it every year for the past three years with a friend.this year he has other plans.i am 47 straight male ,i live on long island new york.we usualy leave the first week in september...but the dates are pretty open for me. i found that it's less expensive to travel in sept. and avoid the peak prices and crowds.i found out the best way to travel is to do it without an intiniry.just follow the road and when you come to a fork in the road ...just take it.i like to leave early in the morning and drive during the day and take in all the sites...stop when it's to dark to see the scenary.i'm a social drinker i smoke ...but will respect your wishes and not smoke in the car or lodging area.well....i guess thats it for now...if your interested get back to me ...thanks ...chris
