Hi Marv, thanks so much for your reply - glad I've inspired you in some way! I have to report that I've just accepted a job in India, so the bum around mission is on hold for a bit... i think you should still go though - I put the feelers out amongst my friends who have already been and they assured me that in India you're sure to meet plenty of other travellers, so its never a lonely time (although you may of course need to mop your own brow when loosing your guts!).
