all . bio-diesel is derived from plant oils. plant oil contains fatty acids in the form of glycerides.plant oils as such can be used as diesel fuel(in india some places like in B'LORE. people started running generetor by plant oil. but for better fuel quality we need to esterify them and the fatty acid esters are called biodiesel. it is a simple process.
