Terence asked "are we doing the best for her?" (Why is the Dame still at #3) but I have to ask is DSB or her management doing anything? The Club chart is of no real consequence. DSB has done zero publicity for this CD in the US. I have just come back from New York where the CD is widely available and often available on listening posts or well displayed on the racks in the major stores. (I have never seen any previous DSB CD so widely available in the US). However, with zero DSB on TV and radio there is almost no chance of a hit album. With the endless chat shows/daytime shows/rolling news where everyone with anything to sell pops up on almost every show, one has to ask why is the Dame not in the US? It seems odd that Decca would go to the trouble to release the album and then not arrange any publicity/promotion. On a more positive note it was good to see part of the Glastonbury performance (bond medley/big spender) on the BA in-flight entertainment system.
