I've been to so many of Shirley's concerts over the years and i always say, 'that was the best one yet'!! But truly, tonights performance was the most relaxed, fun, magical, amazing experience that i will never forget! We were right at the front, centre stage and from the moment she walked out it was a true superstar performance...she looked amazing, great short hair behind here ears, a silver, glittering gown, and looking well and in great shape. Diamonds on her fingers, which dazzled as she bagan with 'Diamonds are Forever'. After that we all held our breath as she looked to Mike Dixon to what song was coming next. He did a fantastic job at making here feel at ease and keeping her on track. The audience was wild and almost willed her to be the best she has ever been..we were not let down. The mixture of old songs and new songs really worked and she relaxed into the set, all worries of 'will she remember the words' to the new songs faded away, she was having fun....After an hour an 15 mins, our hands red raw and our throats sore with shouting and cheering came the last song...Golfinger, she took this to the heights of legendry 'Bassey' the last note and the gold glitter falling from the ceiling making us all shiver, she left us wanting more...The best ever!!
