Hello fans,
The Performance is available in Germany and it's a privilege for us to have it earlier than all the fans in GB and USA and all over the world!
I want to describe my feelings after listening this great album and please excuse my mistakes...
Summary:
This album is one of her best ever. There are a few songs in a style she never sung before. I have to thank Mike Dixon for his support.
Almost There
Perhaps Tom Baxter is a „toy boy“ (why not?) but mostly he’s my dream boy as a singer-songwriter. This song is an anthem. This is what we expect! More Bassey is impossible. Wow!
Apartment
Very nice pop song and you can hear that she likes it.
This Time
This is a Diva’s song and I think it will be still better as a duet with Gary Barlow. Unimaginable?
I Love You Now
Nice pop song.
As God is my Witness
David Arnold is a perfect producer but this song is “simple”. This is not Bassey’s style.
No Good About Goodbye
Great! This is how Bond songs are done!
The Girl From Tiger Bay
The sound is great! It’s a great pop song in Manic Street Preachers’s style doing love songs or ballads. Yes, I like it very much!
Nice Men
Dance! It’s very fun.
The arrangement is brilliant. You can hear that Shirley likes it.
After The Rain
My first impression was: that’s not Bassey’s voice. It’s strange but after listening 10 times I’m astonished by Shirley’s “little” voice. You’ll be surprised. It’s a great.
The Performance of My Life
This song is an aria. The studio version is superbe and very impressing. The live performance (Electric Proms) was wowing me. This is a song you can hear tears in her voice…
