I think this track is superb. I wasn't fortuate enough to be at The Roundhouse to see DSB perform it live but absolutely loved-it when I heard the concert on Radio Two and subsequently saw it on TV via the red button. To me, this is classic Bassey. Beautifully and sensitively sung. I love the way the song and orchestration builds and then we are treated to those wonderful final powerful notes. Pure emotion. When the link for The Guardian appeared I couldn't help myself but listen to the Studio Track and have to say that it does not have the same impact but perhaps it will grow on me. I resisted the very strong temptation to listen to the rest of the Album. Amazon has advised me it is on its way and I can't wait!
