They have probably used the same master tape .if they have such things in this day and age ..I know the other releases of "For All We Know " found on cd such as "The Shirley Bassey Singles" and "The Magic Is You..the very best of " sound better ( and start right at the beginning from silence and not in the middle of a note ....I don't suppose we can expect the same care and attention to detail in re issues as you would get from a new recording but as great fans we can't help but notice when some things are not as good as they could be ( especially as I listen with headphones most of the time.......I would willing pay double the price for something that was the closest you could get to the master tape but unfortunately most people don't think this way ! ..I am sure the EMI and BGO releases are fine for most people there is nothing bad about the sound quality it's just compared to some earlier releases they are not as nice on the ear....still I am looking forward the the new release 'The magic is You /Thoughts of Love " !
