A splendid idea, Dean. Trust the powers that be are listening. I presume the BGO releases are selling in sufficient numbers or they wouldn't keep coming. There's definitely a market for this stuff.
I guess the Towerbell singles (Sometimes, To All The Men I've Loved Before) have disapeared without trace. I managed to download the 1966 version of I Who Have Nothing (included on Sassy Bassey' in the States) which is wonderful but would love a proper version - I bet there's some other 'alternative' vocals out there too. Then there's the mysterious alternative version of If You Go Away (does it exist?). Not to mention the Italian recordings. Combine that lot (any other suggestions?) with the UA A's and B's and you've got e great 2 CD Hits and Rareities package if anyone has the time and inclination to pull it together.
I wish Shirley had someone with the determination (and contacts) that Paul Howes has with regard to Dusty's work. Slowly but surely just about everything has emerged. Would love something like this for Shirley: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Classics-Collectibles-Dusty-Springfield/dp/B0002RUAIS/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1303514912&sr=8-1-spell
