I personally do not find a request for a mini-tour or TV special or some other special concert event so unreasonable. It's not like people want her to go to a coal mine or something. She is healthy for her age, sounds stupendous, looks wonderful - so I do not see why NOT. I respect her reluctance to do that, and I will of course support her anyway and always - but I do think it is a waste to NOT use this God-given gift that has been preserved in such a marvelous condition. Be it new album or one single concert or a short series of concerts - anything that is commom sense.
On the 'ageism" note - I do have a few friends, like our beloved Dame, in their 70s - not all of them are in the "I'm exhausted and done, let me retire" phase - they are vivacious, and capable and some - happy to be working.
