Preston Guildhall, in the mid 70"s, at the age of 16 was my first experience of Shirley Bassey too. My dad took me (he was a fan as well!). I was utterly blown away. Like you, I was musically a bit out of touch with my peers but here we are 40+ years later and "She's' still here". A legend, a talent beyond compare !!
