How about the pantomime Dame, Joan Collins? LOL Both she and Ivana Trump wear the most unflattering, heaviest manke-up I have ever seen. Don't you think it is a little harsh to call Dame Shirley's hair 'awful?' I like the style. However, I can agree with you about the 'pan cake make-up.' Dreadful lipstick; mouth appeared dry. In all fairness, we are probably accustomed to DSB wearing her full stage make-up. Also, my final word about Joan: She was dressed appropriately to meet the Queen. In my opinion, it would have been unthinkable to appear before her without wearing hosiery. Joan is a class act. Whereas Dame Shirley has a flippant attitude about things most of the time.
