There was a Bassey sings bond album that was recorded in the late 80s some copies are still around but it was pulled by DSB as she was told the synth orchestrations would be better than what was put out but it was pulled immediately.
Then early 2000s whilst with Colin Green as MD there was another DSB sings bond album planned. Some tracks were recorded I believe but again it was shelved. She was going to be recording tracks like Kd Lang’s surrender and goldeney etc...
I don’t know why it was pulled but the original Bassey sings bond was pulled because she did not like the tracks. She had recorded vocals on rehearsal tracks and was promised proper big sweeping orchestrations but they just kept the quite nasty synth tracks she had recorded too. I think I’m fairly correct with this info?
