Welcome to the smoking world Dana! It takes some time for your body to get used to the nicotine, but after a few weeks, usually, your body will become more used to it and you will start taking deeper drags and inhales. My advice would be to start out by taking small puffs, then inhale the smoke a little bit and then exhale. This was slowly get your body accustomed to the smoke and the nicotine. After a few days of this, try taking deeper puffs and inhaling a bit more smoke. If you keep at it, you will become a true, addicted smoker. If that's what you want, that is!
