It hasn't been discussed much on this board yet, but I think the new phenomenon of "electronic cigarettes" has huge implications for everyone who smokes and perhaps especially closet smokers. They are basically cigarette-shaped devices that you "smoke" except they contain vapor, nicotine, and the misting agent in "smoke" machines only. No burning and nothing harmful except the nicotine that we enjoy, which is the least harmful component. From personal experience I can say that it is probably 90% of the satisfaction and the pleasure. And the huge upside is no carcinogens and, for all those who like to hide the habit, no lingering smell at all. You can smoke them in your home, in your office... it feels and looks like smoke but it dissipates to nothing. And there area all kinds of flavors, vanilla, chocolate, strawberry etc.
There are lots of makes but so far you can only get them online in the US. Not to advertise anything but so far I like Puresmoker the best. Cheap and good quality.
Google electronic cigarettes, search on youtube etc. I'm interested to hear others' thoughts and experiences...
Because there is nothing combustible and nothing to potentially harm other around you, you can smoke these things in bars, restaurants, at work, even on a plane. It truly can be a revolution.
