I don't know about Kris, but I can't personaly imagine a situation where I would light up in front of my parents and, upon their bewildered looks of horror, to shrug and say "f*ck off, that's none of your business."
Storm- I understand what you say. But there is just no easy way to do that. Yes I can see a future where in my case, I'll admit to my parents to occasionaly light up. And yes, I'll listen to their sermons about health and all, and the conversation will even "end" on an ackward note like "it's my choice". In the meantime, I see no reason to get there.
Kris, maybe you are closer to "there" than that. Is this situation acceptable to you ? I don't have the impression that you want this as a status quo forever. If you want to move on, you need to face the harsh facts and make your decision. The more you wait, the more life does pass you by indeed.
