Vin, Wow stepping into the house is always tricky- even after I have used wet wipes to the max I too try to take a wide path- in the summer it is easier as I can change a t shirt to smoke when out- I agree that the key is deep drags when you can because you never know when you will be stuck not being able to smoke-I do find that an hour after is ok and by then the smoke smell is less- does anyone here chain like I do every morning?

: nothind worse than stepping into my house
: after walking the dog and seeing that my
: wife is in the living room and has something
: to tell or ask me. as she approaches i know
: she is going to smell it and i try to find a
: reason to take a wide walk around her so i
: can get to the sink to wash up but our
: living room is not that big so it is not
: always possible

: In response to Sam there is no quick and
: easy
: way to hide it. For me what works best is
: having what I consider to be a complete
: safety zone for cig smoking. It may change
: over time, but you need to have a place that
: you can go to light up to satisfy the need.
:
: Note, I said place. That does not mean
: time. Each one of us is different so while
: you might always have a safe place, the
: opportunity might not present itself to use
: it.
:
: Before I last moved, I had several safety
: zones. One was going out, parking the car,
: taking a short walk and enjoying some deep
: drags. Other times it was walking the dog
: down certain streets where I knew no one.
: This all presupposes that there is no one
: who is going to smell it upon return home.
: You can't hide the smell on your breath or
: your hands without some time. I figure one
: hour is safe if you are not going to be
: kissing anyone and make sure you wash the
: hands.
:
: If there is no hope for having a cig, [like
: weekends for me] in most cases I will suffer
: through the morning and sometime after lunch
: have that little cigar. Not the same but it
: serves a purpose.
:
: When that is not possible, then I just have
: to put it out of my mind the best I can.
: Thinking and obsessing over it only makes it
: worse.

: Hey Mick, Your message is right on- as I was
: reading it , I thought that is me! I too
: fear health issues esp. when I have a cough
: from a cold- but bottom line I echo you- I
: LOVE TO SMOKE! How much do you smoke? I am
: always looking for any tips to help hide it
: easily and quickly- chime in

: I am willing to bet many people cruise this
: board regularly, as I do, looking for the
: next tale of madness from someone.
:
: I mean, come on, we all know we are total
: f@#king weirdos, right?
:
: Who else, but a whack job, would hide
: something as common as smoking from EVERYONE
: and spend as much effort doing so, as us
: closet smokers???!!!
:
: I want to see if we can get an idea of how
: many ppl come thru here.
:
: Despite whether you have something juicy to
: say, just chime in...for no reason.
: Come on, how many of us are out here?
: Share a fear, a concern, anything.
:
: Me: I often fear coming up with health
: problems. My wife will divorce me and my
: entire circle of friends would be big-time
: freaked.
:
: But I LOVE to smoke...
