Funny you should ask... you know, over the years I have had a small number of people I walked the fine-line of being OUT with, yet also was careful not to let the two worlds connect.
I used to have a friend, she was one of my 'party friends' whom I hung out with and did drugs with that no one else woulda ever believed I would even do.
I freely smoked when I was with her.
She was a real good friend to me too, yet I made sure there was no crossover into my so-called real life.
A few years ago she ODed on heroin...
Then I had another friend I took a math class with all the way over at another part of the city I live. No connection to anyone else I knew. We used to take smoke breaks during class breaks and we would study together.
She was HOT too (which is NICE, especially as I am one of them Fetishers too!! Ha) - but that was then...
I could not risk continuing the friendship beyond school, as eventually she would have likely meet my wife. I was not about to "go there".
It is odd, I mean I really thought this chick was cool too. But I could not risk it...
Over the years I have had a few people whom I had that: "...oh, I only smoke when I am drinking" scheme going with. But it was way too hard to continue to manage, as there were far too many people I did not have any kind of smoking thing at all going with (ie: they wouldn't have been able to deal, as they NEVER knew me as a smoker)
Way too complicated, especially as I am in my forties.
