Religion or not, you'll get grief about your smoking every now and then from everyone. My father is a minister and I've been a smoker since high school. Now, at 40, when I'm visiting home I'll smoke at church and it's no big deal and there are other smokers out with me...you won't be alone. Parents may be more of an issue for you since they are antis. However, they will get used to it and deal with it in their way.
