Have you considered the fact that there are many, many other successful, healthier alternatives to smoking that also work to relieve stress, aren't expensive, don't undermine your health, don't make you a hypocrit, don't damage the environment, don't result in making you more stressed (cravings, etc.), don't make you a drug addict, etc.?
Meditation, listening to music, going for a walk, stretching, sucking your thumb, bicycling, playing cards, volunteering, dancing, jogging, going to an organized gym, etc. are all variants that may be chosen based on your available time, some more convenient than others but all very effective in reducing stress, and none as damaging as smoking.
Take it from me. I've been a smoker since 12 and everytime I try to stop I get severe headaches and tremors. I can't stop now and only wished I didn't start.
