Got busted by the parents on New Year's Eve and decided there really wasn't any reason to hide it anymore. Met some friends for happy hour the following Friday and when they went outside to smoke I joined them for the first time. They were kind of shocked but very supportive. Met friends again at a bar for St. Patrick's Day and spent the time out on the patio with all the other smokers. Parents really disapprove so I don't smoke around them. In the closet at work because everyone there is really anti-smoking and they have a ban. It really is a relief that I am not constantly trying to hide it from the family. I spent a lot of time the last few years hiding cigarettes,lighters, the smell, etc. You all know what I mean. Mom's on my case to quit but that won't happen any time soon. I enjoy smoking on the drive to work and when I go out. In public, people can be so rude to you with the dirty looks and comments!
