Despite it being a Saturday, yesterday I managed to smoke eight cigarettes in my car over the course of a very long day carting the kids around. (if you do it right, you can do this and leave no odor in the car -- I know, none of my kids or my wife had any idea).
Saturday night my wife and I went out with a few friends, including the man I came out to a week ago. I managed to go out twice for a smoke, and my wife knew it. Still a closeted evening, but more bold than in the past. I then had another four on the back deck after the wife said goodnight.
Today, my medication doesn't seem to be thinning my drainage as well, and as a result, my throat is bugging me. I know that I won't be able to keep smoking like a fiend-- but feel that now that my addiction has taken hold, I can back off a bit and maybe smoke a bit more "normally" At least that is my hope. If I don't abuse the sinuses quite as much, perhaps my meds can adequately address the drainage such that I can exist in some comfort, while also smoking.
