I'm in the same boat as you. I also have a pair of clothes that I smoke in and then switch once I'm done. My wife hates it as well. She almost caught me once but luckilly I was able to explain my way out of it.
I'll try to answer your questions.
I smoke Marlboro Red 100's which are a pretty strong cigarette. But I like them because they deliver plenty of nicotine, they taste good, and I like how it make every part of me feel good. After all, you never know when you're going to get the chance for another one. I've been smoking about 4-6 cigarettes a day for the past 4 years. If I weren't a closet smoker, I'd probably smoke more, so I guess it keep me in check.
If you like menthol, I'd suggest either Marlboro Menthol 100's or Newport 100's. Both are strong cigarettes. I've tried both (menthol is not my thing) and the Marlboros taste better, but the Newports are stronger.
If you're looking for a dizzle feeling, take a good drag, hold it in for 5 seconds, the take another big drag without exhaling any smoke, hold that in for 5 seconds, and slowly let it out. Depending on your tollerance level, you may need to do this a few times. Once you start getting that buzz, just smoke like normal.
I've tried to quit before and I failed pretty bad. Worst was when I took a cruise with my wife for 7 days. By the fifth day, I had a craving so bad and all I could think about was having a cigarette.
I won't tell you whether to keep smoking or to stop smoking as everyone needs to make that choice themselves. For me, the feeling of warm cigarette smoke swirling around inside my lungs make sneeking around completely worth it. Fact is, I'll probably die a closet smoker.
Others may be tired of it sneeking, or just plain old tired of smoking.
Hope this helped a little. And sorry for my poor spelling.
