It's difficult to say how addicted you are to nicotine. But the fact of the matter is that 'nicotine addiction' gravely oversimplifies things when it comes to cigarette addiction. Indeed, psychological addiction can be a much stronger factor for many people than addiction to nicotine. This is particularly true if you enjoy the sensual aspects of smoking (such as the feeling of filling your lungs with smoke or big, smoky exhales) or have a smoking fetish vs liking the feeling of a nictine buzz. But even if you like the feeling of the nicotine, there is a difference between wanting to experience this from time to time vs your body actually NEEDING the nicotine. The bottom line? It sounds like you may not be dealing with a physical nicotine addiction. But you might have a psychological addiction to smoking.
