Let her smoke. It is a part of who she is and she enjoys it. You are not a good husband if you make her feel bad about it.

: Hi
:
: My wife was a smoker for around 10 years but
: quit 7/8 years ago. To my knowledge she only
: smoked a few times until a very stressful
: time around a year ago when she mentioned
: she fancied a cigarette. A few days later
: she gave in and had one, followed by another
: 7 or 8 over the following week. She then
: threw the rest of the pack away and vowed
: never to smoke again. I was ok with her
: smoking but had no reason not to believe
: her. However, she has since come home from
: nights out with cigarettes/lighters but
: always insits she must of just picked them
: up from somewhere. I've never confronted her
: about it as it really wouldn't bother me if
: she was smoking, I've just asked her to be
: honest with me and not to hide it if she is.
: She admitted having a couple the last time
: she was out but insists it's not a regular
: thing. We have a pack at home (she brought
: them home months ago) and although she
: hasn't touched them since I often notice her
: staring at them as if she'd like one.
:
: I've wondered whether she is smoking but is
: worried about telling me or could she really
: just have the odd one and then not think
: about it for again for weeks/months at a
: time?
