Easier said than done, but rip the band aid off. I think it is like standing in front a pool of cold water. Sucks to get your nerve up, you feel the sting of the water when you enter and then suddenly the water feels fine
So jump, it will sting, and then it will feel fine. You do not say how long ago your grandfather died (condolences) but the longer you wait to come clean the harder it will be

: I am 35 mother of two. I have quit smoking
: more times than I like to admit, only to
: come back to it again...and again. I just
: enjoy it...Period. Yes, it is repulsive to
: some, but to me it is pleasurable. My dilema
: is I recently started smoking again when my
: grandfather passed away. Now, the thought of
: quitting seems impossbile, and I really
: don't think I want too. I do however hide
: this from almost everyone except very close
: friends and my husband. I have two children
: (13 and 10) and they are very "anti
: smoking" thanks to the school system .
: I work at my family business so I have to go
: all day without smoking since I hide this
: from my parents as well. I know I am an
: adult, but how do I "break"
: everyone in that I am a smoker. I don't want
: to hear about it, I don't want to hear about
: how "bad it is" how "i
: stink" etc. My husband is great about
: it. Tells me I am an adult and I can do what
: I want. If only everyone was like that...
