I'm sitting here at my desk in Oakland, the weather is good, the day beautiful, U2's Where the Streets Have No Name is pumping out of Pandora and I'm smiling and I realize I'm thinking about the upcoming Open. and not really about throwing shoes, but hanging and laughing with some of the best people and some of the most interesting and hilarious characters i know. i am looking forward to seeing everyone - really seeing you.
there seems to be a bit more murmuring about this maybe being the last Open, but each one i've ever been to we all pull together and really take it in and enjoy as though its the first one or the last. the location is super sweet, no doubt; however, i know in my heart it's all of you that make it rockin'.
start training - practicing is never enough.
