By golly Al, that's some good deep thinking there. I watched that episode yesterday myself, but never thought about the simulararities with Susan Boyle. But you are right as rain about it. I imagine them judges were thinking she was seedy looking when she first stepped out on the stage, but boy did that ever change when her voice, her glorious voice, reverbrated through that hall.
