This is one of my favorite films of George C. Scott.
It's said it was his own favorite role.
Not yet available on DVD for some unknown reason.
Here's a clip. Scott died 10 years ago this month.
(Yep, that's Slim Pickens. And it was filmed in Kentucky, Virg. 
)
