Yes! It was Michael's first film, as the graphic, "and introducing..." appears at the opening credits with a full screen shot of his face.
And the film is enriched with great character actors we all know and love, Slim, Jack Albertson, Harry Morgan, Albert Salmi, Strother Martin, and Alice Ghostley.
