The remake has the comedy I guess.
I don't remember the original having any.

The 1932 one is basically the original we're-broke-down-in-the-middle-of-nowhere-wait-there's-a-house-over-there! film. But it's literate, creepy, and somewhat bizarre, as I recall.

I have not seen Homicidal or Pit yet. I should really see the latter since it has good old VP in it.
