I can't say I really get the videotape feel from this movie. I guess it does seem there is something a little odd about it but it has been a while since I saw it. Not like those few videotape episodes of the Twilight Zone though. Those are a really awkward viewing experience. I guess they suit the Twilight Zone atmosphere though, ha!
Did you take note of Charles Bronson's appearance in House Of Wax?
Another film you should check out is the forerunner of House Of Wax, which is "Mystery Of The Wax Museum" 1933? It was an extra on my House Of Wax dvd. It is also a good watch.
