Son Of Kong (1933)

I have always held an interest in these old monster movies, since they would pop up from time to time on tv when I was a kid growing up. I have always especially like the KING KONG films. I know I had to have seen "Son Of Kong" back in the day but remembered little to nothing about it. I was pleasantly surprised to find a blu-ray for $5.95 for this film a few weeks ago but after watching this movie, it was barely worth the price of admission. I just didn't care for this film at all. It is only 69 minutes long but seemed like it took twice that long to get through. Little Kong doesn't even show up until way late in the movie. It just is a shallow movie in my opinion. They can't make up there mind what they want to do in this film! Like hey, wouldn't it be great to go back to skull island?...but they really don't want to go, they just sorta wind up there. Hey, what's this...buried treasure? Now, they decide they must go on a treasure hunt while they are there. Can't miss an opportunity for treasure, right? Lol! I have always read that the early version of "Mighty Joe Young" is a better film, and I know I have seen it long ago also but the "Son Of Kong" experience sure doesn't make want to go seek it out anytime soon. Any thoughts on this one Al?
