I've seen most of their films. Horse Feathers is my fav. They are rapid fire, so if you laugh you can miss the next joke.
With Laurel and Hardy it's easier to soak a gag in a bit, let it sink in, before moving on. That's the beauty of them. A director once told Ollie it was fine to look into the camera. Take your time. Let the audience laugh heartily.
