I always enjoy paying attention to the way the TV show Christmas trees are decorated and many from the 1970's shows are the best. If I could choose a Christmas tree for my own it would be the tree from The Jefferson's "Father Christmas" in the Willis flashback scenes. The large lights the tinsel...nice tree. Other oddities: I always notice the little plain pink Christmas tree in the Roper's apartment in "Three's Christmas", true sign of that time. Another goofy tree is the one from "Christmas Day At The Bunkers", makes good sense for Archie and they got off some good jokes on that one.
FILMS
Never Say Goodbye (1946)
It's A Wonderful Life (1946)
Christmas Eve (1947) first time watch
Mr. Soft Touch (1949) first time watch
Santa Claus: The Movie (1985) first time watch
"Mr. Soft Touch" was good but I wanted it to be better. Maybe my thoughts will improve with more viewings or it may just be me. It has all the elements it seems.
"Santa Claus: The Movie" was ok. A bit boring, I thought, but I could see kids really enjoying it.
