Virg, I felt the same way about The 7th Voyage Of Sinbad - I wanted no part of it, and only began watching it as I was trying to decided what I wanted to watch last night - does that make sense?
But when I saw Harryhausen's Cyclops I stuck with it and witnessed the chillin' skeleton sword fight that was impressive. Kathryn Grant was a honey of a princess too. She would later quit movies to become Mrs. Bing Crosby. I also remember her in a key role in Anatomy of a Murder with Jimmy Stewart.
I presume you mean the '35 version of Mutiny? I haven't seen it yet. Doing a search here at The Grand you suggested it to Barney2012 as a film not to be missed.
I did watch The Thing last Friday. A restored version that was cleaner and filled the entire screen of my big screen. Of course I try to watch it every year on the hottest, muggiest night of the year. Makes me enjoy the 60 below in the movie much more enjoyable somehow.
