Hey Buddy,
Had the same prob few days ago.. after driving on lake shore.. try the following
1. take out the air cleaner, wipe any water from air cleaner casing
2. connect a jumper as u would if the battery went dead
3. keep holding the ignition till the water is all burned out
4. run engine for a while even after starting
: went through a large puddle , I think water
: got on my distibutor. turned the trk off and
: now it won't start, makes a clicking sound
: over by the passenger side then seconds
: later it tries to start but to no avail. can
